I've been putting quite a bit of thought into this News Letter just of late,
how often, what should & what shouldn't be in it, that sort of thing. And
I'm still open to ideas, any suggestions are most welcome. (So in short,
the next edition of this News Letter will be someday, and consist of
something.)
I've been busy with the Lodge Website just of late and several new pages
have been added:
-
Ye Corporation O'Squaremen: This is now a 4 page feature consisting
of a Home Page, visitations for the ensuing year, a photographic
gallery, and a Guestbook. Although this is part of the St. Andrew
Website it can be viewed independently at the following URL
http://BuchanShed4.dk3.com.
The "Add This Site To Your Favourites" will add this URL.
-
Lodge Camperdown 317 (Dundee): There is now a page dedicated to the
beautiful Murals. The photos on the page hardly do the Murals
justice and I highly recommend to any brother that gets the opportunity
to visit Camperdown to do so.
-
Installations: The Installations page which was formerly given over
to photographs of various St. Andrew Masters is now split to incorporate
other Lodges. At present I only have photos from Lodge Leask 1084, but
I am hoping to get others as the season progresses.
-
Awards: During the last month I have been fortunate enough to apply
for and receive 2 awards and 1 certification. Which are proudly
displayed in the Main Page, you have to scroll down to see them.
-
Provincial: The unfortunate incident with a steamed up camera lens at
the recent Provincial Installation of Bro. Alfred Davidson has now been
rectified and the (new) photo given pride of place on the page as is the
RWPGM's due.
-
The mailing list feature has been deleted from the site. I found it to
restrictive. It will be replaced by a more appropriate email form.
I am currently working on a couple of other pieces, but will save that for
the next issue.
Forthcoming Lodge Events:
-
Wednesday December 15 @ 7:30pm: 3rd. Degree. There is a possibility
that we might have 2 candidates on the evening.
-
Saturday December 20: At the Commercial Hotel / New Pitsligo - St.
Andrew Xmas raffle will be held. (Not sure of the time)
-
Saturday January 8, 2005 @ 7:00pm: Installation of Bro. David Gillies
and Office Bearers.
-
Wednesday January 19 2005 @ 7:30pm: 1st. Degree (again we might have
2 candidates)
-
February 2005: Date yet to be determined: Visitation by Lodge
Camperdown 317 to work a degree.
The addresses used for this mailing were taken from my own personal address
book and the Lodge St. Andrew Guestbook.
Special thanks to:
-
PM (Auld Deacon) Ron Simpson for supplying additional information.
-
PM Ally Gowans for permission to pilfer pictures of the Murals
